Tasting notes: This tea tastes like an autumn evening. The little bit of lapsang souchong, a tea that is dried over pinewood fires which imparts a distinct smoked flavor, makes this tea rich. The berry comes through clear, but not overbearing, and any would-be bitterness is tempered by the smooth oolong.
Modeled after Russian Caravan, which is usually a blend of black tea, oolong, and lapsang. In this blend, I used a berry flavored black tea, an almond flavored oolong, but I kept the lapsang the same.
